Yuelu Mountain

Yuelu Mountain, situated in Yuelu District, Changsha, Hunan, sprawls over 35.20 sq. km. and reaches a height of 300.8 meters, holding the status of a national key scenic spot and AAAAA tourist attraction. Derived from the "Nanyueji" during the Liu Song Dynasty, it is renowned for its eight major scenic zones including Lushan and Tianma, and four core attractions: Lushan, Juzizhou, Yuelu Academy, and Xinmin Society. Boasting 977 plant species across 174 families and 559 genera, Yuelu Mountain serves as a hub for Hunan culture dissemination and patriotic education. Historical landmarks like the ancient Lushan Temple and tombs of luminaries like Huang Xing and Cai E adorn the area. Its rich culture encompasses celebrity tales of Mao Zedong and Cai Hesen, along with a harmonious blend of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism.
